Stressing over "What will people think"? You're not alone. Most people go crazy worrying about what others think. You can get rid of your worries of others opinions. It just takes a greater awareness of your self value. If God be for us whose opinions can be against us? (Romans 831). Life-changing transformation cannot take place unless we choose to stop worrying about what other people think of us. (7000 words)

Who Cares What People Think Anyway? Breaking Free From The Bondage of Other People Opinions edition by Lynn R Davis Religion Spirituality eBooks

Why do we care what others think? Because biologically we have a need to be accepted or wanted. Media images, social norms, everything dictates what the perfect human being is, and anything that strays away from that image is ridiculed and shamed. Humans hate being seen as inferior, as losers, hence why we do irrational and illogical things to fit in, such as smoking because our friends do it, or wearing clothes that we really don't like because it's in fashion.
-
We bury our authenticity to be accepted and we wonder why we're exhausted because we try to please every opinion or expectation that we're faced with. The author includes some keys concepts as to why we focus on what's others say, beginning with narcissistic entitlement (people pleasing), to being lied on (when our name/reputation is tarnished), including self judgement (past issues we feel others will attack), and much more. All in all, the fundamental truth is we want to be accepted and seen as worthy, we don't want to be seen as the loser, and will always overthink what others say and believe.
-
How to get around this? We have to evaluate if what they're saying is true, we must understand our value, we need to face the fact that we can't please everyone, no one can, and that our authentic self with all its gifts and talents isn't meant for everyone. We have to realize not everyone is for us and those who are will only provide constructive criticism and support to ensure our advancement as an individual.
-
Further, some people are experiencing their own hurt and pain, this spews out onto others. No happy person would intentionally break down another person and these broken people will do their best to dim your light so theirs can shine more brightly. As stated before, we have to dictate what is true and what isn't, we must only listen if the words being offered are genuine, and supportive.
-
Consequently, if you're always focusing on the opinions of others, you'll never have the opportunity to be your most authentic self. In doing this you're cutting yourself and the world short because in being a clone you're not able to live the life most fulfilling for you and you're not offering the world the gifts, talents and change that only you can provide.

Who Cares What People Think Anyway? Breaking Free From The Bondage of Other People Opinions edition by Lynn R Davis Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews

I would recommend this book to anyone in special need of Gods love and acceptance. Just what I needed when I needed it.
A very thought provoking book that costs you to rethink your thinking
I love how the author puts together experience and scripture which is totally relatable. Thank you!❤️
Very inspiring. Biblical references included. Talented writer.
I will definitely look for more Lynn Davis works. May the holy spirit keep inspiring you.
I thought the content of this book was super powerful, biblical, and encouraging! It has definitely helped me change my perspective on how others view me and how i view me. It's a quick read which is also nice. I gave it four instead of five stars because it is poorly edited. Some sentences, punctuation, and even words are totally wrong. But I don't want that to effect anyone who needs some insight because what she is actually saying is great content!
The author does an excellent work of combining scripture and experience to expose the insanity of caring what others think.
Being a child of God is a wonderful THING. But we also have to open our mind to POSITIVE reading each and every day. During my early stages of being save l have always fell into the pressure of what people think of me. Or why this , or why that. But since l mature in Christ. I really don't care what people think of me. This Book answer lots of questions l had in my mind over the years. For 99 ¢ what a Awesome book to read. I might have to purchase a book for me to carry around in my bag during travel. You can't always depend on the phone. But pulling out a Good book to read is a Awesome thing. I like to Thank the Author for writing this book. And I have purchased several of your books on . God Bless you and your Family.
